Apart from its sheer beauty and charm, Telluride offers unique community living. Known for its Victorian architecture and colorful storefronts, Telluride's Main Street offers everything from shops and bookstores to restaurants and bars.

Additionally, sitting higher on the slopes, is the town of Mountain Village. Exuding European alpine elegance, this quaint village offers luxury hotels, plazas, skating rinks and heated sidewalks during the winter season, as well as plenty of non-skiing activities. Whether you're staying in Mountain Village or just visiting for the day, hop on the gondola linking the Town of Telluride to Mountain Village to indulge in all Telluride has to offer.

STROLL.  Historic Main Street has it all. Browse books at Between the Covers, grab a pastry at Baked in Telluride, or head to the bar at The New Sheridan Hotel, one of the oldest in the west, for local flavor and a cold brew.

PARTAKE.  From Mountain Film to Blue's and Brews to balloons and yoga, Telluride is known for its year-round barrage and variety of festivals.

RIDE.  Telluride's gondola connection between the town and Mountain Village stops at St. Sophia, a 10,551-foot- high perch that is home to Allred's, a Telluride staple that serves locally sourced and organic cuisine.

HIKE.  Telluride's unique box canyon location allows many hikes to start right from town. The Jud Wiebe trail is a three-mile loop that starts on North Oak Street, climbs through groves of aspens, and delivers panoramic views of Telluride.
